Jaguar Spirit Booster Club Meeting – April 11, 2017

Welcome - Meeting was called to order at 7:12pm by President Kristin Belcher and quorum was established. Welcome and introduction of new families

Acceptance of March Minutes – Minutes were reviewed and acceptance of the minutes was asked. Motion by Mary Smith, 2nd Michelle Morris; minutes passed.

Treasurer – Lynne Fleming reported on March financials. Motion to accept – Kim, 2nd – Michelle Morris. Motion carried. Lynn also reviewed 2017-18 budget. Motion to approve budget – Stephanie Jackson; 2nd. – Brenda Browning. Budget approved.

1st VP Update – Michelle Morris explained the procedure for voting on the new board and ballots were distributed to members. All but 1st VP position was non-contested. Michelle asked if anyone would like to be added to the ballot. Ballots were casted and nominating committee counted votes. 2017-18 Board Members elected are Kristin Belcher, President; Sherri Baker, 1st Vice President; Julie Timms, 2nd Vice President; Lynn Fleming, Treasurer and Lori Polyak, Secretary.

Fundraising – Folders were distributed and Shelley Mungiguerra discussed the importance of our sponsorship drive (typically bringing in $25,000-$35,000). Seniors will have first chance at open sponsorships, then will be opened to remaining members. Still need a Sponsorship Chair/Committee Members.

Kristin discussed an opportunity with SnapRaise Funderaiser to help fund Nationals.   SnapRaise does take 20% off the top but does provide most of the backend labor and will come to school to give instruction to the girls. Boosters agreed to try and each girl must provide 20 email addresses. More information will be sent out next week.

Varsity (Melinda Pool/Jeanne Goodin) - Mother/Daughter social will be at Mt. Fuji on Friday, April 21st.

JV (Kim Kerner) - All good.

Freshman (Jill Esstman ) – Email on team get together will be going out soon.

Coaches – Uniform check out sheet was due on Wednesday. Decals and yard signs can be order at Stunt Clinic on May 6 has been cancelled due to competitive cheer conflicts. Payment #2 is due on May 13.

Nationals @ Disney World in February. We will be competing in the Gameday division. UIL team members will automatically make Nationals team; everyone else will go as an alternate. All will be eligible to try out for UIL team (30 spots), but you must commit to both competitions. Tryouts will be held during Camp. UIL is 2nd week of January.

New Business:
* Family Picnic will be on May 15th at Heritage Park. SignUp Genius going next week.
* Memory Scrapbook photos due by April 16th.
* Committee Chairs needed (Sponsorship, Santa, Pomming)
* Next meeting will be Tuesday, May 9th @ 7pm

Jaguar Spirit Booster Club Meeting – January, 4, 2017



Meeting was called to order at 7:07pm by President Kristin Belcher.

Welcome – President Kristin Belcher thanked committee chairs and members for all their hard work. Christmas Parade was a lot of fun. Our float turned out really cute. Thanks to everyone who worked on the float and participated in the parade. Thanks also to the team moms for putting together a wonderful Christmas Party. Everyone had a blast.

Acceptance of November Minutes – Minutes were reviewed and acceptance of the minutes was asked. Motion made by Lynn Fleming, Shelly Mungiguera second the motion; minutes passed.

Treasurer – Lynn Fleming went over budgets for October and November and asked for approvals. Motion to approve October budget - Michelle Morris; second the motion - Gina Brown. Motion to approve November budget - Shelly Mungiguera; second the motion - Holly Rorick. October and November budgets approved.

1st VP Report - Michelle Morris reported on Banquet. Theme is “Elegant Masquerade”. Event will be held on March 4, 2017 at the Cowboy’s Golf Club. Invites will be going out soon. Cost is $30 per guest (cheerleaders are paid for). RSVP date is February 17, 2017. Gina Brown will be distributing instructions for this year’s photo Megaphones.

2nd VP Report - Fundraising – Shelly Mungiguera informed that Sponsor gift bags have been given to cheerleaders for distribution. Kim Kerner reported that pomming is going well and has raised almost $2,000. Cheryl Zobal reported that the Santa Fundraiser went well. There were approximately 25 (@ $50/each) santa visits. Santa and Elves all did an amazing job and several families have sent in wonderful thank you notes.

Varsity Update – All good.  

JV – All good.

Freshman – All good.

Coaches – Coach Smith provided last minute UIL information and stated that girls look great. 2017-18 tryouts will be held March 6-10. There will be a mandatory parent meeting on February 6. Camp will be June 5-8.

New Business – Reminder that there are 2 $500 Senior LEF Scholarships available DUE January 27.   Go to LEF website for detail All program half time performance at the Friday, January 27th varsity boys basketball game (No freebies). Next Booster meeting will be @ 7pm on February 7th .

Jaguar Spirit Booster Club Meeting – October 4, 2016

Meeting was called to order at 7:07pm by President Kristin Belcher.

Acceptance of April Minutes – Minutes were reviewed and acceptance of the minutes was asked. Motion made by Shelly Mungiguerra, Kristie Pelham second the motion; minutes passed.

Treasurer – Lynne Fleming – books were not ready due to meeting being held one week early. Budgets are available for review.

FundraisingJunior Jag – Event went really well with about 95 participants. Great turn out at the game as well with about 45-50 junior jags participating. HOCO Carnival, Wednesday, 10/05. We are sponsoring a bounce house (vendor also provided popcorn machine/supplies for free). Iggy’s Italian Ice will be selling treats with $1 from each purchase going to cheer program. Auction – Donations are coming in, but still need everyone to continue to collecting. Auction will be held on Saturday, October 29th at Kwik Kar. Cheerleaders will be working in shifts. Contact Michelle Morris/Kristie Pelham regarding donation drop off.   Pink Out/Canes FMHS Cheer Gives Back Night – Wednesday, October 26th 5-10pm. Cheerleaders will be working shifts. 15% of all sales will be given to Presby Plano for Breast Cancer Research. Santa Visits – Working on establishing dates and sign up genius to sign up for shifts. Need Santas and Mrs. Claus’. Mandatory for cheerleaders to participate as elves.

Varsity Update – All good. Be sure to turn into Kristie Pelham ASAP information for senior night.

JV – All good. Girls excited about cheering at HOCO.

Freshman – All good.

Coaches – Asking for a $2 donation from each cheerleader to help pay for dinners for Mr. Phillips who was in an accident. UIL dates have changed to January 10 & 11th. We might be spending the night so we will need to fundraise for hotel. New Jaggy and Rosie costumes are in.

New BusinessChristmas Parade - Each cheerleader needs to donate 2 bags of candy; need lots of colored lights. Next Booster meeting will be @ 7pm on November 8th .
